Support our Sustainability Efforts with a POW Ticket
Able Hakuba Goryu has joined the "Sustainable Resort Alliance (SRA)," a platform newly established in December 2023 by our partner, the general incorporated association Protect Our Winters Japan (POW JAPAN). This platform supports the transition to zero-carbon and sustainable practices at ski resorts nationwide.
Starting from the 2025-2026 season, Goryu has introduced the POW Ticket system for Night Skiing season passes and Night Skiing tickets. There is now an option to donate ¥1,000 for each night ski season pass, or ¥300 for each night ski ticket. Donations will go toward environmental initiatives.
Overview of POW Ticket
- Ticket Types:
- Season Passes: POW Early Bird Night Season Pass, POW Regular Night Season Pass, POW Child Night Season Pass.
- POW Night Ski Ticket (all ticket types)
- Donation Amount: ¥1,000 per season pass, ¥300 per night ski ticket will be donated.
- Sales Locations:
- Online ticketing site: Please select the POW ticket option for each ticket type and proceed with your purchase.
- Ticketoffice counters: Please inform the staff at the counter that you wish to purchase a POW ticket.
What is the POW Ticket?
The POW Ticket is a special lift ticket that includes a donation on top of the regular price. This donation directly supports the ski resort’s efforts to decarbonize and make ski resorts more sustainable. By choosing this lift ticket, you are actively contributing to the long-term sustainability of the ski resort.
Ski resorts that have joined the SRA and adopted the POW Ticket system will publicly report on how the donations are used and the results of those initiatives. Let's ski, have fun, and work together to make ski resorts more sustainable with the POW Ticket! (Quoted from POW JAPAN)
At Goryu, we are introducing this system to achieve a more sustainable ski resort operation.
