Goryu Area: Sledding Area

A dedicated, net-enclosed area near the Gondola Telecbin Toomi Station for children to enjoy sledding and playing in the snow. Admission is free, and you can use the area freely during operating hours (please note that staff are not stationed in this area).
This exclusive space ensures a safe and fun environment for sledding and playing in snow.
* Please note: Skis and snowboards with metal edges are not permitted in the kids' area, even if it is ski equipment for children.
- ・In front of Gondola Telecabin Toomi Station
- ・Operating period: Open during the season (Scheduled to open around late December and available until early April, depending on snow conditions).
- ・Operating Hours: Available during the opening hours of the Toomi Ski Slope (not accessible outside of slope operating hours).

Iimori Area - STEP UP LAND
"The First Step on the Slopes"
Launched in the 2024–25 season, Step Up Land enters its second year with a new home in the Iimori Area of Hakuba Goryu.
Step Up Land features both a ski experience zone and a sledding area, making it an ideal space for first-time snow adventures.
Area Guide
When viewed from the bottom of the slope, the area is divided around the moving belt.
Left side: Sledding & Play Area
Guests can freely enjoy sleds and snow play equipment in a safe, family-friendly space.
Right side: Ski & Snowboard Area
This area is designed especially for beginners and children.
As more snow accummulates during the season, this area will be gradually shaped using grooming machines to create gentle terrain features.
These features will allow beginners to practice balance, sliding, and control in a safe and enjoyable way.
The goal is to provide a playful learning environment where children and first-timers can gain confidence at their own pace.
Hours: 9:00–15:00
Location: Iimori Slope
Admission: Free with a valid lift passes for the day / ¥1,000 per person (buy from ticket center).
(Lift passes that are not valid: Kid's pass, Grand Senior pass, point pass(single-trip), Invitation tickets, Complimentary tickets, and Hakuba Valley EPIC passes)
Ideal for kids, beginners, and anyone starting their snow sports journey!
Important Information
- ・When moving within the course, always proceed from top to bottom.
- ・The sledding area and the ski/snowboard area are completely separate. Please do not enter the ski area while carrying a sled.
- ・Please ride the moving belt standing up. Riding backwards, sitting down, or jumping on is dangerous.
- ・Sudden stops or staying in one place for a long time on the course are dangerous. If you fall, move to the side promptly.
- ・Please use the play equipment properly. Do not throw it or bump into others.
- ・Young children must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
- ・Use after consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited.
- ・The area may be temporarily closed due to snow conditions or weather. Please follow staff instructions.
※The sledding area is also within Step Up Land. A Step Up Land ticket must be purchased to use the sledding area. Sledding outside of Step Up Land is prohibited.
