powered by 100% renewable energy sources .
At Hakuba Goryu, we are taking steps to protect the environment, including reducing CO2 emissions, in order to preserve the beautiful natural environment we provide for future generations and to operate a sustainable resort.
From December 2023, we have switched the electricity used in all of our facilities to 100% renewable energy. Switching all electricity used throughout the year, from gondolas and lifts to restaurants, shops, and other facilities, and even snow machines, is a big step towards realizing a zero-carbon resort.
In addition, we cultivate alpine plants to provide food for the Ptarmigan Protection and Breeding Project (Ministry of the Environment).
