Good Evening!
The sunrise this morning makes for a fantastic photograph.
The predicted snowfall unfortunately didn’t fall down onto the woody course, but only further up the mountain.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t much snowfall at all.
Apparently it had rained all night on the Tomi slope.
On top of that, we were assaulted with extremely strong winds.
The surface of the snow is icy, with soft snow being blown around on top.
Due to these conditions, it creates a longing for the snow to become more compact.
The amount of snow being blown around by the wind is a thing in itself.
This is what it looked like before…
And throughout the day, the wind god decided to persistently remain,
so the Alps Daira Pair Lift 1 started operating a little later than usual.
We feel sorry for making everyone wait.
So, with the bad snow condition yesterday, the Champion Expert course had to be closed …
but somehow we’ve managed to open it today!
The top of the expert course is still in good condition but,
there are some areas with grass and ground showing around the lower areas, and the snow condition is a bit icy.
It is still usable, but we can’t really recommend it.
A lot of the snow on the slopes has ended up being blown or melted away due to yesterday’s rain.
There have again been sightings of rock protruding in the lower areas of the Dynamic course.
As there is a high chance of skiing equipment being damaged,
we recommend descending the mountain using the gondola.
We wish on the moon from the Toomi slope for better weather conditions.
We debated about the quality of the snow before the nighter session but,
in the end decided that it had to be cancelled due to the lack of snow from yesterday.
As we are closing it to preserve the snow conditions, we’d be happy if you could understand.
There is a forecast for some snow tonight, but it should only be about 5-10cm.
We hope for some more snow, and hope to see you again!
